Lantern Ridge
A walking sim across a sleeping mountain range. Light one lantern, and the fog remembers your route. Silence is a resource. Orientation is a spell.
Wispcrest builds quiet, atmospheric worlds — ridge-walk sims, lantern mysteries, and slow magical realism. We design fog you can read, wind you can follow, and crests worth climbing.

You inherit a hut at the treeline and a ledger of disappearances. Decode weather omens, mend old trails, and decide which guests the mountain should keep.
Semi-nomadic life with a flock of mist-sheep. Read barometric moods, spin wool from condensation, and trade with valleys that only appear on fog-days.
Observatory management at 3000m. Track wandering lights, argue with the guild, and publish almanacs no one below will ever believe. Closed alpha.
Wispcrest began as a hiking notebook. Two writers, one sound artist, and a broken altimeter decided that games could feel like standing still in cold air — aware, unhurried, a little haunted.
We are ten people between Bergen, Kyoto, and a rented cabin we only name in winter. No crunch, no live-service loops, no victory royales. We ship when the weather holds.
Our palette is fog and ridge-stone. Our engine is modest. Our ambition is to make players pause at a vista and forget the UI entirely.
Owns the weather bible and the “no shouting” rule. Believes pacing is just breath control for the player.
Builds fog that has depth, not opacity. Treats a sunrise like a cutscene the sky agreed to perform.
Records wind in seven altitudes. Mixes silence as if it were an instrument with low battery.
